It is better to take the time and double-check the information than it is to have the future mother-in-law’s name get misspelled in the wedding program.
Once you have the information, decide on the style of the wedding program. The bride and groom may have some opinion of the style of wedding program. Most wedding programs are done on white or ivory paper. But some couples also like to use a pastel paper such as purple or pink or light green. There are also printed papers that have pretty prints like flowers or other seasonal prints that may be appropriate. Run all of these options past the bride and the groom. Then select a font (typeface) for the program. In some cases you may want to use several fonts. One font could be a headline font for the cover of the wedding program and another font could be used for the inside.
You can also consider if you would like to add images to the wedding program. Some wedding programs can look beautiful with the addition of clip art. Or you can add some pictures of the bride and groom. Keep the images in the same style as the chosen style of the wedding program. You can find lots of free clip art available on the Internet.
